    Thanks Mike.
I used to have insurance ,but never got ahead of the insurance fee. This was a $2000.00 bill so the company I had would not have even covered half of that. Thankfully, we have 2 good pensions here so can handle the cost. If it is cancer though, I'll put the dog down when life is no longer fun for him - one of the many responsibilities of owning a dog. I'd hoped he'd live to 14, but if it is cancer an older rescue will be next.
Hopefully the results will be back soon.

Well, it is a low grade tumor.....Apocrine adenomas in a sweat gland. Very uncommon. They grow slowly and there is no chance of recurrence following surgical extirpation. He sees the specialist surgeon next week.
Appreciate the PMs/posts I've received; thank you.

Best of luck, years ago my dog had surgery for swollen gland or glands beside her butt. They didn't attach or damage anything just a noticable swollen lump. She was back to herself in a couple weeks following surgery.

Cole sees the surgeon on the 28th for an attempted complete removal of the tumor. That will be my last effort so praying for a good outcome.

    for those who are asking:

Before we could get a CAT scan /surgery ,cancer had moved from the skull to the brain. Seizures starting. Nothing can be done. We'll put him down when he's suffering. (Today he's running around like a pup.) Only 7; I'd hoped he'd live till 14, but..... I believe God is still in control.
