Electric cars

So I am left wondering about Electric cars. I see Quebec is going to ban new gas vehicles in 2030.
So with these electric ones, what happens if the power goes down? Can you plug them into a tree or something?

Will the Government and the Greenies Guarantee the power will never go down not even for 1 second.

What about ambulances when the power is down I guess we just let people die?

It will take a while to phase them out

A Tesla driver was stuck last year looking for another Tesla in the area for a charge. Ran out of juice away from the city [emoji23]

Simple solution: just get a trailer-mounted generator and a long enough extension cord.
Then you can say you drive a hybrid.

Most owners carry a small gas Honda Co2 producing generator in the trunk. They start it up and charge their eco friendly car.

I better start stock piling 2 stroke oil so I can still use my 3 wheelers n sleds in 10 years hahah

Actually I keep a small stock of the oil I use. I have to with so many machines needing oil changes.

I keep at least a year supply of the oil I use most.

I here in the UK quite a few people have run out at times. Not as simple as bringing out a gas can to refill.

I was at a local grocery store parking lot when I watched a tow truck maneuver to hook up a Chevy Volt. The operator said the owner forgot to plug it in overnight. I have no idea whether that was true or not because the owner wasn't present,but,I found it kind of funny.

Quebec is going to ban "sales" of gasoline cars. But what of SUVs and pickup trucks? Or cars bought in Ontario.
Next to Alberta, Quebec drivers buy the biggest vehicles in Canada - which with the anti-pipeline, anti-gas power would make them the biggest hypocrite in Canada.

Quebecs access to cheap renewable power would make the one province in Canada where this could actually work. But will Quebec drivers switch to smaller cars?
