Anyone on here hunted the tiny marsh near Elmvale? Been out scouting the last week and looks like there are a few ducks and geese in the area. Curious if anyone can share any information or experience.

You have to pay to play there. I have never gone for waterfowl in the marsh side but do visit once or twice a year for the pheasant hunts on the other side. The website has a lot of information for you >>> https://www.mtmconservation.org/tiny...-wildlife-area

I was there once late season last year. I highly recommend a scouting trip first if you can swing it. I set up in the dark in what looked like decent cover but it was just pencil reeds once the sun came up and I was totally exposed. There were some birds around tho not tons, though it could have been the time of year . . .

Yeah for sure, I checked it out a couple of weeks ago and looks like there are a few decent spots. Will give it a go next week!

how did the hunt go ? thinking of heading there this weekend.

does this marsh still hold birds late in the season or do they move down to lake Ontario at this time usually ?

I was out there this morning and still geese and ducks out there. It hasn't froze up yet so figure as long as there is water it'll hold birds!
