I would say it is indefensible to do nothing. Let nature take it’s course is indefensible. If you die you die. Do we do that with other diseases? Do we consult historians or economists when we have cancer? Nope just people who specialize in Health. Communicable Disease experts are exactly who we should be listening to.

USo the politicians listen to the infectious disease professional about the virus. They speak with economists about the affect on the economy. They consult with mental health professionals about the affects of lock downs. And as the leader of your Country or Province you must make a decision about which path you take. What will help the most while hurting the least? In this case they are damed if they do and damed if they don’t. That is politics.

I fall on the "the cure" is doing more harm side. The economic fallout all this is going to be harsh and wide spread. Felt for year.....years....to come. Potentially more so as ripple effects occur which even the brightest, can only really take educated guesses at. Fear and greed....... Nor have we really even begun to add the toll of suicides, family breakdowns, alcohol abuse, spousal or child abuse ( like suicides we are seeing spikes now) and more......
It also "bothers" me, we are throwing people under the bus. Sacrificing them. Most often I sense those with secure jobs are screaming the loudest. FFS at least when we went to war back in the 40s, everyone enlisted...........Nor are we really doing enough to compensate those we are throwing under the bus.
However, vaccination is the fastest way to get there. And yeah there might be some risk. "So what", life is a risk. I could meet a client today and be dead in 3 weeks.
Don't like the lockdowns?
Don't like the debt thats being added?
Dont want your taxes to skyrocket?
Get a shot imo.
If your willing to take an injection of an untested drug, feel free nobody is stopping you. Why does it matter if others don't want to take a drug that has bypassed safety procedures and testing but is already approved before it even hits our soil?
and were supposed to believe that they forgot to mention allergies lol it happens I guess .. lol
but im excited. we now have a 95% effective vaccine for the super healthy ppl, who fit in the 99% that covid would not bother ...
