Shame on GW and you supporting him in robbing the old age pensioners in Canada.

The debt is the debt. Has much of the spending been justified? Yes .
Are the results showing?
No
Catching up on this thread has been “interesting”.
Questions:
1) how are we going to “compete” with the US? Answer: We arent, we’re screwed royally now. Our only hope might be, that Biden makes JT look like the grinch.
2)
Why is it, despite everything the Liberal elites in the electorate ( who tend to be well paid) aren’t doing their part? I thought we’re all this together?
3) why hasn’t there been rather large wage cuts within public service? I do mean large and I do mean wide spread. Municipal, Provincial, Federal. Sure some are working harder than ever, but........and at the end of the day, isn’t it all about a noble calling? Apparently not. And aren’t we all in this together?
3)
Yep, how the bleep is this going to chipped away at? Obviously we’re going to have to be responsible adults and pass the buck onto anyone and everyone but ourselves. And let the “budget balance itself”
Aka wait 50 years for the natural business cycle, natural growth in population and GDP to catch up..............
Housing in the GTA?
Who knows. At a guess over the next 2-5 years the demand will explode. Perhaps more than it already has the past 10 years.
Prior to 2020 there were large and worrisome problems as an older population headed into their golden years with nowhere near enough. Don’t know about anyone else but I’m guessing those numbers have likewise just exploded.
I’m guessing, the need for more social services. Whether LTCs, or social assistance or A to Z will be right behind them...........
Immigration?
We need it. Always have.
However I wonder. Given job concerns, housing concerns, might we see a bunch of Canadians follow a bunch of companies looking for greener pastures? Move to the US where the economy is growing?

Liberals are very proud of trying to bankrupt Canada. I imagine Fishermcan is jumping for joy. Anyone who would be proud of this obliviously want's to ruin Canada.

JB . A lot of those companies are going to ‘ right to work ‘ states. Where they have the right to work full time and live in poverty. Those same states have the worst education and health stats in the nation. Coincidence?

The damage isn't even able to be calculated yet, as one writer on the deficit wrote.
Just as Canadian households have to deal with the reality of interest payments on debt-financed consumption, so do governments. Ultimately, however, it is taxpayers who pay when governments borrow. The burden of debt servicing costs is a painful reminder to us all that there are no free lunches with government debt.
