We are already crumbling and to stick a 30 percent living fee tax in the next 9 year's is a joke . We are going to be in a world of hurt in the coming years and with living cost going up well.

It will do the opposite of saving the people from poverty it will double the size.

We are far from done with this pandemic we will be lucky if we start having a good recovery by the next election. As it is we will be lucky if we are fully open in 2023 these shut downs will be till at least spring unless they just say f it and open up with case's lol. It will be years to fully recovered and to be honest it's might not even be fully recovered in the next 5 or 6 years.

Once interest rates go up it's going to be a whole nother ball game.

As far as dietary change, I think I'm doing it wrong. I have eaten more meat and fish since covid started than ever before! I say I'm saving the environment! I mean, when the mallards were around I was eating flying tenderloin 4 days a week, thats a lot of duck farts that won't hit the atmosphere.

I don't think the Conservatives want (or should) to take over the Government. Who the heck want's to try and dig the economy out of this hole. With deficits this big it's going to hurt everyone's pocket book. Wait until the Covid benefits to Businesses, Landlords and the Unemployed dries up. There is going to be an avalanche of Bankruptcies waiting to close down the economy even further.

Look at what happened with the provincial government who had to pick up the pieces after the Liberals destroyed the economy of Ontario. Ford is forced to make cuts and everyone is up in arms after him. Teachers strikes that damaged our education system and he was blamed, not the Liberals who put him into that position.

People like Gilly still blame Harper for having to deal with the economic disaster that Jean Cretien left the country in.

We are better off with this minority Government that has it's wings clipped. No more money in the well. Fix the economy and stop hurting it with this ridiculous Climate Change nonsense.

Who if people on the left paused to use their brains, would realize helping 60 or 70% of the population reach Nirvanna ( say EVs) does far more than 20%. Blue Green Algae blooms. Oh my god screams the urban dweller whose dog just died. We have to save the planet. But first I need to fertilize my lawn........then go play golf. Want to talk waste of precious space/water? How many of these have sprung up over the last 20 years. Dozens and dozens.

As I type this I’m staring at Bell Peppers, potatoes, tomatoes,,I need to harvest out of my basement garden. I harvested 20 bell peppers last week. I use bat poop for fertilizer. I use a fair bit of hydro.

Pretty sure, though my poop does stink, my foot print is smaller than most people that live in the city.

Where millions of pounds of refuse is trucked ( fossil) out of every day. Where you can see it from the moon at night. Where, the majority scream about Climate Change try to dictate how others should live ( who usually have smaller footprints). Take a picture of a smog enshrouded city and farmland. Who even today are abandoning high density housing ( Condos)....in favor of?????

And politicians like Trudeau using the "opportunity ' to push his Climate Change agenda is deplorable. Holding back funding for Health Care and committing money for climate change to meet the unachievable goals (Paris Accord) that he foolishly promised to achieve is irresponsible.

Unless they figure out how to alter the rotation of the Earth or the cyclical activity of the Sun...we will have to adapt to Climate Change, as we have had for the past few Billions of years.

Governments can achieve these goals, the UN says, through taxation and other policies affecting fundamental decisions we make about our lives, from what we eat (preferably meatless, low-carbon diets), to how we travel (less by air, more by subsidized electric cars), to how we power our homes (with wind and solar energy, at least for “higher income” earners, given the costs) and much, much more.

I bet there are as many liberals if not more that have gone back to the basics. Gardening, food plots, using less and recycling etc. I would also bet that most of the volunteers at soup kitchens, street outreach programs, rehab centres, etc would be left wing voters.
