And not taxes and greed there too? Why not policies and Hydro. Plenty of blame to go around. As I've so often said, it both
Why progressives? Me anyways, I can point to receive threads and people not caring much about about those that don't have it so good.
But mainly I point to 2003 to 2018 and the GTA not giving a damn.

Would not Mulroney be at least partially responsible? The FTA is part of the reason we have less manufacturing in Canada than before. We send them the ingredients and they send us back the finished product. Caring about others , or not , is not the refuge of one particular party. The GTA was where most of those manufacturing jobs were lost.

We've often talked about fear mongering by the media and politicians ..here's the headline this morning:
Canada's largest province to impose holiday lockdown to avoid 'catastrophic' Covid fallout
There will be more than 200 COVID-19 patients in intensive care in Ontario hospitals for the next month in even the best case scenario and the number could cross 500 if public health restrictions are relaxed, new modelling released by the Ford government suggests.
The modelling looked at four different paths that the province could take depending on the growth in cases between now and early January.
It suggests that if infections grow at a rate of three per cent over the next month, which is a slightly accelerated pace compared to the 2.47 per cent growth rate we have seen over the last 14 days, we would end up with roughly 5,000 daily cases and nearly 400 people in the ICU by Jan. 8.
The worst case scenario, which is based on the five per cent growth rate that Ontario briefly saw in November prior to lockdowns being put in place in Toronto and Peel, points to nearly 10,000 daily cases by early January with more than 500 COVID-19 patients in the ICU.
So this is how they are selling a lock-down for the next month....the 'what if scenario'. Rather callous when it involves the livelihood of 1,000s of business owners and the jobs the create....just in case of a worse case scenario.
It's now they only way to get achieve forced compliance with the public is to threaten the them with the 'worst case scenario'.

If you disagree with the sitting governments actions, show them at the next election. I do not want to hazard a guess, but who do you think most small business owners vote for normally? Has Ford lost those votes?

If you would pay attention Gord, Ford is losing a lot support. Especially outside the GTA. You know, the 80% that always gets what they want, but aren't willing to help?
Fine you want to blame Free trade. Doesnt that fall under "corporate greed".
What did you ( not specifically you) do when fuel was being thrown on the fire making it far worse between 2003-2016.
With any luck ambulances and fire trucks start breaking down soon as well.
One persons comment from my wall on this specific topic.
"[COLOR=#050505]Most people are completely oblivious to the real world John , it’s unfortunate but most live in a bubble and are spoon fed their beliefs on social media"

JB, your first line contradicts itself, maybe speed typing without proof reading? AND...... 'With any luck ambulances and fire trucks start breaking down as well'. Why would you want that? Sounds perverse to me.

Your a piece of work. Insults and Trolling.
Grow up. Want to start another one child? I seriously do not know what your major malfunction is.
Yes, as it often the case, speed typing, living in the real world, more important things than pissants like you. Or "here" for that matter.

Did you read your first line again? Do you really want emergency vehicles to start breaking down? I am just reading what you wrote. Yes it must be my fault you wrote that.

Don't know if Ford is losing votes since a liberal or NDP government would be worse (just check at the federal level). However, there are a lot of people who voted for Ford who are really PO'd with him right now. Rural people. Business owners. People that are the core of the Ontario Conservative party. I'm hearing a lot of "if we wanted liberal government we'd have voted for the liberals".

Obviously, your capacity for critical thinking is that of an unhinged child, that has a seriously unhealthy fixation on someone.
