Me too Fatri.
“Kind of”
I’d feel a lot better if someone competent was implementing it though. Shame Ford killed the pilots. We might have a better idea.
Things are starting to unravel a bit. Read something yesterday about landlord/tenant evictions. After 9-10 months, people and small businesses are starting to buckle. landlords likewise getting reamed.....
I guess when we throw the have nots under the bus. We should be surprised at the outcome.

Not unlike supply chain concerns. And it starting with the lowly peons in the factories....
Not unlike any ecosystem and what happens when the bottom of the food chain....
As for the new strain.
2 cases confirmed in Durham region yesterday.

Lessons learned....I guess not. After all the problems with spreading the virus due to International travel..a year later we still have idiots going to Virus Hotspots and bringing the virus back with them..
Obviously not an issue, appears the Federal Government isn't overly concerned with it or they would be doing 'forced' quarantine.
A third case of the new COVID-19 variant first discovered in the United Kingdom has been confirmed in Ottawa, provincial health officials reported on Sunday.
The person recently travelled from the U.K., according to the Ministry of Health. Ottawa Public Health has informed the individual, who is now in self-isolation, and case and contact management is underway.

Lots of people at the airport boxing day line ups were longer than the store's.
Kind of stupid if you ask me I can't go into a store but I can get a cheap round trip to Mexico lol.
They tell me to stay home only leave for essential items but can still travel around the world . Not sure what they are thinking lol.

That new variant virus is all over Durham, Ottawa , BC , I'm sure we will find more cases too.
But hey keep all the international air travel open . Sounds like a great idea.

Your right, and you can see why there is growing anger. Tell me I have to stay home and not see my extended family ....but idiots are flying everywhere to enjoy travel. All under the guise they 'promise' to quarantine after they get back. Sure...

It was easier for international travelers to visit family here in Canada than our own family over the holidays.
It's ok for a family in India to come and visit but I am forbidden as a Canadian to visit my own family in Ontario
It's getting pathetic and becoming a real joke. Soon enough they will have to call in the army cuz many just won't care anymore. It's getting to the point I don't care anymore .
Who cares if I go up north to fish if I can still go to Mexico I can still travel north to fish am I right.
Say whatever but I'm going fishing first chance I get lol.
I'll be alone so what's the problem ? I was going to hold off but I'm not sure if I can do it . The ice is a callin lol.

More people need to start taking the same approach and don't be holed up at home. Whats going on is despicable and it absolutely destroying the hospitality/entertainment industry in this country, and more so in the GTA.
Maybe people will wake up when Toronto becomes another dump like Detroit or Chicago. I can say I don't feel sorry for the city as they voted for what their getting in return.
I won't be staying home and I will continue to live as normal as possible. There's no Canadian news even worth watching anymore, all it covers front and center is covid fear mongering.

its pretty obvious the government has gotten nice and cozy with all the power and control theyve had with this "COVID" situation.....Justin running down the steps of his cottage to talk every day just like a dicator to his minions.....provincial and federal both doing as they please, what makes you think they want to shut down international travel and "slow the spread" of this virus..were 10 months into this thing, our hospitals were overloaded BEFORE the pandemic...youd think after 10 months we'd have some accelerated form of a new hospital in Windsor / London / KW / GTA / Barrie, Kingston, Ottawa etc, etc .... no theyd rather pay you $2500 to stay home and do nothing... time to eat healthy, make smart decisions, work as safely as you possibly can, but move on with life, this is not going away any time soon...

Well if there is any comfort in all of this is that another more traditional vaccine is about to be approved and released for the UK in the next few days.
It won't be long that Canada will follow suit.
"The UK will approve the Oxford university/AstraZeneca coronavirus vaccine in the coming days, with the number of people being inoculated expected to increase significantly from the first week of January.
The Oxford/AstraZeneca vaccine is seen as game-changing within Whitehall, as its low price and ease of storage will allow the government to vaccinate people more quickly."

Our mandatory travel passport is probably not far behind!

So what is the answer to not requiring a health passport? Is shutting down international travel forever, possible? How would we otherwise prove , people are safe to move across boarders? We have nearly 3 million Canadians living abroad, should they not be allowed to return home? Should we be building enough internment camps to hold them all for 14 days, if they desire to come home?
