Paint Vinyl Siding
I'm wondering if anyone has ever painted Vinyl Siding? How did it hold up? Can you still pressure wash your house later years or will the paint just peel off.
What type of paint and primer did you use? Did you scrub the house down with with something first or just pressure wash first?

You have to wash it down pretty good before beginning, scrub it if its starting to deteriorate at all. If you run your hand down the siding and get any chalky residue, it needs to be scrubbed. Priming is definitely recommended and use multiple coats of top quality acrylic based exterior paint. It'll give you at least a dozen years before recoat.

How is it one careless cigarette can cause a forest fire, but it takes a whole box of matches to light a campfire?

Yes if I was to do it, I would wash with TSP and pressure wash it down. I have experience painting houses but have never painted with vinyl siding. Most vinyl siding didn't start to show up until mid 1980's.
