Would you get on a MAX-8?

Just saw on the news that WestJet is bringing the MAX-8 back into service. Do you feel comfortable getting on this plane?

I have not been on a plane for 11 months now and really do not see it happening until 3Q or 4Q at the earliest. Pre COVID I was usually on a plane 2 sometimes 3 times a month and I really never thought about what plane I was on - Dash 8, 737, 767, 787, or A320. Personally I would not have any issues jumping on a Max-8 for a flight. I know very little of the inner workings of a jet airplane other than the basic physics of flight. The way I see it if a pilot, first officer and a crew, who know the inner workings of a jet airplane, are willing to jump on board and fly the plane I would feel comfortable to fly with them.

Same. No issues whatsoever. Flown all over Africa and Asia in different 60s vintage Soviet Antonovs and lived to tell. That being said can't say i was always comfortable with the state of those aircraft or the pilots for that matter.

To be honest I really hate flying, I'm the guy you can hear quietly saying "Ohhhhh Sh$$" when we take off and land. I prefer to have full control myself.

The only time I get nervous is when I board a plane and it still had ash trays in the arm rests.

I flew with my family across the ocean to Germany in the cargo hold of a C-130 Herc. . The seats were cargo slings and the bathroom was a toilet strapped to the wall with a curtain. Best flight I was ever on HAHa...
