I don't think anybody is buying Biden as being racist as he probably got all of the minority vote in the USA. Trump and his supporters were very clearly seen as racist's and that is why they have been dumped to the side of the road. So post away with your nonsense, the Liberals are in charge and will be for the next four years in the USA and I suspect here in Canada should another election be called.

Australia has received zero vaccine. I find it hard to understand why it is the Prime Ministers fault if an overseas company shuts down production for two weeks to retool the plant. Was it a planned shutdown? I doubt it, numbers of orders necessitated it. You think that they called their customers ? Like any company, you place your order and are at the mercy of the schedule. Especially if so few companies make the product.

Israel's PM came to the table later than than the Village idiot but instead our PM decided to spent all the money on buying 10x more than we need instead of spending more on for the required vaccine our The Israel PM negotiated a 'premium' price per dose and guaranteed Israel was going to receive the first doses coming off the assembly line.

Trudeau screwed around with the delivery schedule for Canada...which was never suppose to be earlier that Feb, so he could pull of a PR stunt. No other country is seeing a hug shortfall with deliveries from Pfizer.

That is what happens when you put a part time drama teacher in charge of a country. He's more concerned about how he looks on TV then actually negotiating the best possible outcome for his Country. Canadians need to wake the heck up and realize that this vaccine fiascal lies solely on the PM's shoulders.

That's his job we have the most vaccines but none to give .

We have so many we can do both Canada and the USA. . They are of little help tho if we can't get them. Like I said before we put all our egg's in 1 basket and cracked an egg. So far the vaccine plan will be of little help next fall at the rate it's changing.

The virus is changing fast a few more changes and our basket will lay hens . Be back at square one wondering why the healthcare is full of covid next fall.

Per capita, the US death total is about twice what Canada's is. Given the higher percentage of a) Blacks and b) obesity in the US, I don't think the death total - large as the number is - is out of line when compared to Canada. re: blacks - google "covid sickel cell".

So the plant shutdown is causing a delay in vaccines for 2-4 weeks. Why did Canada announce a 6 month push back (to August) for the general population. Could it be that the February time frame was a lie?

Also on that note. One must factor in why Covid is hitting the "less fortunate" harder than any other demographic. Worded differently, the working poor. The very people Trudeua, Ford, and now Biden are throwing under the bus. Curious, for all the talk Gilroy, what did Obama ( or Wynne) do for them, but make life harder?

    You are right ...

Canada's deaths from Covid: .05% (20K of 38 million) of population.
USA's: deaths from Covid: .12% (424k of 331 million) of population.

The average deaths per year in Canada: 285K, .75% of population.
Heart disease kills .2% (72K) almost 3x as many as the Virus has killed.

The average deaths in any year in the US is about 2.8 million...or .8% of population.
Heart disease kills 659,041 (.2%) people annually in the US, twice as many as the virus.

Neither death rate from the virus is significant in terms of a pandemic and in the grander scheme of things.
