The downstairs at the York was Purdy's Mill. I liked the central. In my day could get a glass of draft for ten cents! It burned down many years ago and the lot sits empty. It was called the Irish House then. Lot's of memories went up in smoke.

my second year. There was a country bar down on the corner called the Royal which I got tossed out of for being under age LOL. Down the street from there was an old classic called the Kent which was a “no fuss - just for drinkers”establishment. Tried my first pickled eggs there. In the middle of all of that was the Central where they had bands and you could get trays of glasses of draft. There was a tiny pub in the back that was pretty quiet. Once when I was there, some bikers threw an axe with dynamite through the door, thankfully it was after hours. I used to go to the Grand on Thursdays for pizza and a jug of draft - good college food!
Haha I don't know if it actually came from "Saturday Night Fever" or not but it looked like it anyway.
Back on the cougar topic...
I'd really like to see a picture or video of juveniles so we would know for sure. I saw what I believe to be a cougar near Bobcaygeon around 15 years ago.
