Default Questions buying a New ATV

GW your Op was you have 5k on hand...take advantage of low financing rates. Either with your bank or dealer rates are very competitive ..ie Yamaha, Honda, Suzuki etc. Yamaha is offering
1.9% on most machines right now. Kinda of crazy not too buy NEW..IMO

Yes that is what I am thinking, would cost 150 / mth for 35 months and if my contract is renewed and I can just pay it all off.

Still have to call Honda, but I have heard they are back ordered.

If your talking buying an ATV Kijiji IMHO is a nightmare place to visit. I have been on there over the years looking at ATV's mostly out of curiosity, I fast discovered many of the posters were out and out scam artist's. Everything you could mention in a scam, Oh I selling for a friend who is out the country, the ATV is actually in storage in Alberta and we just need funds to pay the storage ,I had the ownership but the dog ate it but trust me its not stolen. LOL

To be honest with you GW I am in the same mindset as you, why buy an ATV used that could have the chit kicked out of it, when for a few thousand more you can buy brand new. Personally I will go the new route ,but I need another storage shed built.

My Cut off point is 5 grand used and for that I want at least a 2006 and technically I am still over paying.

As for a Shed, why not one of those portable garage cover from Canadian Tire? I was thinking of getting on to store the ATV and lawn tractor in during the Summer.

Honestly I didn't think that $4500 was a good deal for a bike with 12000 km on it. Maybe i'm out to lunch. My BIL sold his 2007 kingquad with 500km for $2500, in perfect condition. Just a little dusty from sitting in the shed. I told him after though that $3500 would have been fair for both parties. He bought it thinking he needed one but whenever he went to the bush, he ended up taking a tractor instead. I should have talked him into keeping it, now when I hunt his property I have to trailer mine there.

GW interesting that you mention that, I have recovered one of those twice now in the last few years for a widow friend of an old colleague.

First of all no security from theft at all and secondly the sun exposure kill's the covers in a few years, your in a different boat as you live year round so for summer use would be OK.
