Would Erin O'Toole or Jagmeet Singh have performed any better? and the answer is NO
And you know that how? Your magic 8 ball? Last I checked your still living in frigid Ontario. If you were a clairvoyant you'd own your own island in the South pacific.
Don't let logic and common sense get in your way.
Regardless, your the worst kind of voter and a big part of the problem these days regardless of party. Your blind faith and unwillingness to criticize them about anything, sends a message. Keep up the good work

Its not blind faith it is just giving the Prime Minister a fair shake, you must remember we have citizens from Nova Scotia, to British Columbia and places in between who think exactly like me. I would also like to point out to you a small point I have missed in previous discussions
Canada is left leaning, if we add the 24 NDP seats to any total in an election as Liberal hey would win back to back in almost all elections.
Your very lucky our party system breaks up the left vote or you would be toast.
Mr O Toole is only now coming under scrutiny we will see how that pan's out for him.

I'm neither L or R Terry. If you've missed many threads, criticizing Ford.... You'll go on at great length about Trump getting the boot. Completely blind to the fact its the centrist like myself,"the swing votes". Your part of the problem with politics and the polarization/division.
Will say, the past X years I am not a fan of Liberals given the damage they've done. And I would much rather not get into well Harper did x...The point here, is holding them accountable which you won't do. Your a "fan bois", died in wool through and through and if you could open your eyes, remove your blinders.
Why do you think Ford was fast to chop heads when people flew south. Why do you think JT is in damage control mode.
Because people are letting them hear displeased or irate they are. Your the one btw that is seriously hung up on the left being oh so good.
news flash, they've done far more damage to people than any other party over the last 30 years.
Chew on that if your able to come up for air, and remove the blinders for 10 minutes

Gil, we can't go stating what if scenarios and use that as an excuse for what Trudeau has or hasn't done.
The performance is not good, period. Trudeau has to take that one ... no one knows if O'Toole or anyone else could have
done any better ... it is speculation. But the way Trudeau has performed is fact ... and all you have to do is compare to
other similar countries and you will find, he did not do well ... the outcome is not good.

Not sure what your point is there?
Personally I don't mind some being held in reserve. Not unlike not being smart enough to have contigency plans for vaccines, having a reserve for unforeseen spending needs is prudent. No? Especially given the shape Ontario was and remains in?
If you want to argue, he could be using some of that now ( worded differently a smaller reserve) to help out people bearing the brunt of the economic kneecapping being forced on them. I'd agree. But, why are we short PSWs, RNs, ICUs to begin with Terry..........Why are so many (outside the GTA) struggling to begin with Terry. Have you forgotten Energy Poverty.....and who/why we cant afford squat to begin with?
Point being.
I have no problems criticizing them. In fact many Cons here are not happy with everything Ford's doing and aren't afraid to say so.
See the difference?
But as noted, this is about the Liberals, JTs Liberals and the brutal job they are doing. Where would you like me to start?
tens of billions no one can find where it went?
Tens of billions on large companies that still managed to pay dividends?
WE

Nobody in the world was expecting this Covid problem except perhaps China, there was no playbook to go by, the USA our biggest trading partner and their past President did a terrible job ,so I personally do not think any of the other party leaders in Canada would have been better. Provincial leaders have done a terrible job of all political stripes. Judgement day will be on the next election day I guess.

And if Ontario is any indications and what they’ll let go, turn their cheeks to..........
Read this earlier this eve.
10 months flushed down the toilet before dim wit..and his party that aren’t fit to run lemonade stands....a made in Canada vaccine could be just weeks away if not for their utter incompetence.
https://calgaryherald.com/opinion/co...ooked-to-china
And we don’t know what the Cons might have done differently. Comparing us to the US is likewise...baseless. If for no other reason we as a country are slightly left. And the GTA, that red stronghold that factors so heavily and has lost all morals and thoughts for others. So if they wanted to remain in power.........
Again, “common sense”.
All policiticians/parties care most about being power. Wasn’t it Butts who during The SNC pit show said “ we can have the best policies, but if we aren’t in power”
Yes it was

From all accounts many companies came forward to develop vaccines but when their proposals were examined they could not produce. This Calgary company had not fully developed a working vaccine. The Government went with Pfizer because Billion were pumped into the RD for their drug by the European Countries, would it not have been wiser to go with a big name company with a track record.
If the Calgary company was so good and their proposed vaccine so promising why could they not raise private money to complete the development of their vaccine. Why would Jason Kenney not jump in with a few bucks from the Province, even use some of the taxpayers money given from Ottawa?
