"As the Conservative party moves to be more centralist party, political correctness (PC) demand they shed the hard right members. Not because they disagree with their views, but the party has to be more palatable"

"But O'Toole said a "pattern developed" since then, and frustrations mounted that Sloan's extreme social conservative views posed an ever-present danger to the party's goal of forming government"

Why did they shed the party member?

Answer. His racism not only in attacking Dr Tam but then accepting a donation from a white supremist, which
Mr O Toole called "a pattern of misbehavior.

Right in the middle of YOUR post in Blue Writing. Did you actually read the article, are you unable to connect the dots here?

[COLOR=#545454]There is no place for the far right in our party." That's a quote from a statement released on Sunday by Conservative Leader Erin O'Toole, where he condemns the riot in the U.S. Capitol and paints a moderate picture of the Conservative Party under his leadership. On the heels of the statement, PressProgress revealed that MP Derek Sloan accepted a donation from a notorious white supremacist, leading O'Toole to move to oust Sloan from the Conservative party.

Rome burns the VIs can only blather on about how bad Cons are...Despite the fact, a recent previous governing Liberal party and their supporters in one case trashed our province such that it in no position to fix things, let alone cope with 2020. And another present governing party thatis rife with Scandals, has seen high profile people bail or get the boot ( unlike low profile people like Sloan), has accumalted the most debt, has the worst, by far unemployment and an utterly embarrassing performance on vaccines. Which ulitmately could/will just mean more lockdowns and even if not, will cost us billions more in $$ and hundreds or thousands of lives

I suspect the Liberals on here find it funny and yes I can state that considering the excuses they keep making up.

Sloan had a permanent case of verbal diarrhea and despite being told to "tone down the rhetoric",he continued unabated becoming a huge liability. In most organizations, politics being no different, when the boss tells you do something and you don't,there's no alternative except to hit the road, either, voluntarily or otherwise.
If a tree falls on your ex in the woods and nobody hears it,you should probably still get rid of your chainsaw. Just sayin'....
