Land Boarder Crossing Requirements :Covid

This is interesting, the first time I have seen any acknowledgement that if you have been sick with Covid...you won't need another PCR test. I hope this extends to the 'Inoculation Passport' down the road.

New rules went into effect this morning for travellers crossing from the U.S. into Canada at land border points.

With exceptions for essential travellers, people driving into the country must provide proof of a negative COVID-19 PCR test taken in the U.S. within 72 hours.

Or they must offer proof of a positive test result between 14 and 90 days before arrival, which is long enough for the illness to have passed, but not so long that immunity might have waned.

As of Feb. 22, travellers arriving at land border points will also be required to take COVID-19 tests upon arrival.

The big questions that remain are - when you get the shot how long will the person be immune from the disease and if you do get the disease how long we you be safe from getting it again - it may turn out that you will need to get a shot every year similar to the flue - boy I guess a lot of resorts are hurting from the lack of tourist coming to Canada - may put some out of business permanently

I'll bet there's far more Canadians heading south on I75 to places in Florida and Texas than there are coming this way. I'm sure resort and hotel owners in Florida will be hurting for lack of northern clientel.
