So if you know all about 08 (I take it you are talking about the Great Financial Melt Down in 2008) ... then why are you trying to compare those two terms (Chretien vs. Harper) ... the economic backdrop cannot even compare. Harper navigated the melt down with absolute mastery ... the country prospered, and even taxes to middle class went down.

Considering Ford is doing much better then Trudeau, does that mean you want Trudeau gone?

Deficit went up, under harper. All those that voted for him should pay extra. Is that not what was suggested? Or does that only apply when another party is in power.

That's why the left hate Harper, because of his success..

You're as bad as you alter Ego Gillroy and your hero the Village Idiot.....telling lies seems to be a left wing trait;
Harper took office with a 13.8 billion surplus in 2006....road that thru the world economic collapse of the 2008 and when he left office the economy had a $2 Billion surplus.
Now we have to wait to see the deficit will be when the Village Idiot gets kicked to the curb....

You never believe anything that's written that contradicts your twisted facts.
It a sourced article from the "Finance Canada, Statistics Canada, Bank of Canada, Parliament of Canada, IMF"
The Village idiot is in trouble if his loyal followers stop believing in the CBC HaHa..

Harper was in a recession , Trudeau was not during his first 4 years but he ran a deficit for fun just to waste money even after he raised taxes and the economy was rocking.

So you're going to completely ignore the fact that we went through the Great Financial Melt Down and the Great Recession ... and just skip to the part where there was a deficit ... talk about taking things out of context. And by the way, even though he did a great job getting us out of the Great Recession, our taxes DID go down! Because they ran a much more efficient government! He did an outstanding job!
