Racism - True or False
It seems that today the term racism is thrown around like snowballs - especially in the political field - but just what is racism anyway - I guess if you think that your race is better than other races it could be called racism - but what about choices people have the right to make - for instance since I am a white guy would you call me racist if I want my kids to marry someone of their own race - why - well my choice is that if I have any grand children I would like them to look like me - also a marriage is stronger if both spouses have more in common - like race, religion, politics etc. - I wish people of all races to be happy and be treated the same - wish the best to everyone - but I do have my preferences - that shouldn't make me a racist -
Have you watched the advertisement on TV or on the net lately - you can see the basis against white people - 90% of the advertisements have non-white people involved and you see more and more mixed couples involved - the social engineers are trying their best to mix races to a point that there will be no difference between races - you won't know what you are and your kids won't even look like you - if you like that all well and good that is your choice and right but please don't call me racist if I want my race to survive - I hope you understand where I am coming from - preferences doesn't made one a racist

Sorry Joe, but I dont agree with you at all..... We are all humans, some humans are better than others.
How would the love of your sons life feel about your thoughts if she were of a difference race.

There is no 'race', except the human race. Race was invented by humans , not nature. If having non whites in adverts is bias against whites, (don't see how), for how many decades, were whites biased against everyone else, by having only whites in ads? If lets say 40% of a population is not Caucasian, 40% of people represented in any media should not be Caucasian. Just fair.

True.
How and what forms are too numerous. But for example when I read the subject line, my first thought was and is, tread very carefully. Why would I feel that way, if it didn’t exist?
I grew up, around shall we call it disadvantaged people. I didn’t recognize it as racism then. But I do now, and am thankful that early immersion exposed me to life in their shoes. We are all products of our experiences and environments.
Do agree, entirely the charge gets thrown around too loosely and too often. The same can be said of sexism. Lots of heated debate today about Ford “fingernail on chalkboard” comment to Horwarth. And him being labelled a misogynist. When clearly those throwing the word around, don’t know the meaning, nor that, the “prejudice” against men, is in fact misandry.
Slippery slopes.
On the topic of racism.
Wouldn’t a person, have to experience it, to know?

Seems some feel that way, that there is a bias against them , because there are non-whites in ads. In this century. I as a white male, who worked in a profession, and location, where it is 95% female, and 80% non Caucasian, I have felt sexism and racism personally. Paybacks are a b---h.

I think every race has some form of racism towards others . Some just hate others goes for all races. But I feel like it is overrated and the smallest of things now a days will trigger a reaction.
We are too sensitive now.
Alls rascal breeds will have its own some kind of racism towards others but in general it's still a small amount.
The more talk about it will trigger bigger reactions and bring the worst outcome to sensitive people.

I think people tend to confuse the term "racism" with another term that goes hand-in-hand with it.......bigotry. I believe one can be a bigot without being a racist. A**holism knows no bounds.
If a tree falls on your ex in the woods and nobody hears it,you should probably still get rid of your chainsaw. Just sayin'....

True...Humans are born with a inherent need for Tribalism...it's in our Nature.
Unfortunately, we tribal humans have a “dark side,” ironically also related to our social relationships: We are as belligerent and brutal as any other animal species. Our species, sapiens, is indeed creative and loving, but it is also destructive and hostile.
Tribal animosities have always been part of our history, either between antagonistic countries or enemies within each nation-state. Every country has close-knit tribes or groups who harbor “rational” reasons to praise themselves and hate others, usually based on prejudicial lore rooted in religion, ethnicity, race, economics or politics.

I have definitely noticed the amount of mixed race couples in tv ads for sure over the last couple of years. Not that there's anything wrong with that but it doesn't even come close to actually reflecting the actual demography, which it should. Another thing I noticed after I started paying more attention is that by far the majority of them include a white women and black man. I can only actually think of one that had a black woman and white man. Seems more like reverse discrimination.

Attempts at Social Engineering; make us 'perceive' that it is common in parts the society we may not have exposure too..
Bite your tongue..reverse discrimination doesn't exist Haha....
Saw a video the other day where the speaker set up a scenario and reversed the roles. The Black people refused to say that what the White people were experiencing was 'racist' it was just 'prejudice'. HaHa..
