If history repeats itself there is no doubt that there will be another ice age . But when? What will trigger it there are a few ways that could trigger and ice age and the world to cool down.

Scientist claim that the average temp, was 6 degrees cooler than it is today. Or around 8 degrees C. Assuming the inverse is true, and somewhere down the road at its height, Maybe 40 years, maybe 80, the average temp will be 6 degrees warmer from average. Or somewhere around 20 degrees C.
Catastrophic? Sure I’ll allow that. If 6 degrees cooler can result in half the planet covered in ice.
What I don’t “agree” with is the caterwauling to save the planet. It will be just fine, 6 degrees warmer does not equate to fire and brimstone.
Nature will adapt. She always does. We though likely won’t. Not sure why that’s a bad thing. But be honest, we or they “save the planet” types, call it what it is. Hubris, and save us.

Have to wonder why we are expending so much energy trying to “stop” the inevitable. When if time is running out. We should be preparing and building, for what next.
Why hasn’t, legislation been passed to force every new house to have solar?
Flood plains and wetlands of today every one wants to save? Likely dry land. Let them build...
worried about coastal flooding? Stop freaking building there.
etc
