When the Russians were caught in the quagmire of Afghanistan, toward the end,the Kremlin threatened to use tac-nukes to wipe out the Taliban. The rest of the world was totally against it and threatened dire consequences should they even think about. In retrospect,now...............
If a tree falls on your ex in the woods and nobody hears it,you should probably still get rid of your chainsaw. Just sayin'....

Maybe I ask to many questions but does your mind not go to where my mind goes
Q. Why were the Russians in there in the first place?
It would appear they desired a route from their oil fields to the Caspian Sea.
So they were there for their own need's invading a sovereign nation. America help's defeat them with the help of the mujahideen and arming them with stinger missiles. Then they created a vacuum and pop's the Taliban. They use that as a pretext for their own invasion and then Trump makes a deal with them. LOL

Come on. Trump hired the ‘ best ever ‘ then turned around and fired them all, a dozen of them. How is that deflecting. That is part of the answer. And the problem. He had the best cabinet, then when they would not agree with him, so he fired them all and said that they were terrible people. That is a fact .

LOL It seems we agree on more than we disagree. Some day,the super powers may learn to mind their own damn business, especially, when it comes to domestic affairs, albeit, watching the Taliban lop the heads off errant females will never sit well ,politically, with the "woke" feminist movement, will it?

Can you imagine the "Motley Crew" he would put together if he decided to run again. LOL He has pardoned most of the better criminals he was associated with so I suppose they could be hired again.

perhaps, arguably the biggest stain on American foreign policy and wars was the vietnam war.

Most people understand that children and youth are very susceptible to influence during their formative years. Hitler, screwed up a whole bunch........
this entire "leftist" woke and enlightened world is truly frightening. At the risk of touching on a touchy subject.
If I were in favor of my 14 year old daughter getting married. I would be tarred and feathered. But chemical castration, altering a childs testerone/estrogen, etc, etc.....
Its 2021 after all

I think it was arrogance of the first order that Russia or America thought they could breeze into Afghanistan when the British at the high of the Empire was soundly defeated and lost 10,000 men in the retreat down the Khyber Pass.
The Saudis told Donald Trump they would defeat Yemen in 3 1/2 weeks they have been trying for the past 5 years. LOL

Why the change of heart? Many of those wars were started and enabled by republican Presidents. Nixon, Johnston .,both Bushes. Republicans can’t take the high road there.

Your choice and her choice when she turns legal age, are two different things.
