Nice gun.......just not a fan of the saddle mount. If it is a dedicated Turkey gun mount a rail on the receiver and mount your scope to it - you will never need to even think about it again.

I'm not sure where your from/shopping... I'm shopping around for a new upland and all the shops I'm calling are telling me Remingtons are flying off the shelves... and they aren't ordering anymore because Remington went down. So, with regards to which one is better, the Mossberg 835 has an okay rep, personally I think either one (I'm biased I'd go Remington all day before Mossberg). But if you cant get a hold of the Remington the Mossberg will do the trick + you can buy the combo too. Don't get too hung up on if it will be a good turkey gun or not... any 12 ga shotgun shooting 2 3/4 - 3 " with the correct # load will put a turkey down.

My dedicated turkey gun is a 20!
Sure makes those 20-25km run and gun days a little nicer, and produces ~130 pellets in a 10" circle at 45.
Just waiting on Ontario to get with the program and make TSS #9s legal here to really unleash what the 20 can do.

I'm just messing with you. I have a good buddy that shoots a Super Nova that patterns amazing........Only reason why I did not go for a 20 was that they did not make it in the Steady Grip. The Nelli is an amazing gun but you nailed it. You can definitely feel it after carrying 7.4lbs (+ scope) around all morning while running and gunning.
