I guess we better not hold our breath waiting for TMN to run the original version of "Gone With The Wind".
If a tree falls on your ex in the woods and nobody hears it,you should probably still get rid of your chainsaw. Just sayin'....

Yup, and no one had issues with it ... now we make a big stink. And so much of a stink we have to address this (fix it) with the 99% of the kids that don't have any issue with this.

Has too much time on their hands
Why is Coke promoting to be less white? I don't hear anybody crying racism.
I bet if Pepsi promoted to be less black, the cries of racism by the left would be rampant..lol

No it is not acceptable. But I also have to ask the question, which parent/teacher in their right mind would put those books in front of a child?
Playboy is unacceptable for children ... it is not banned, but parents and educators need to use their discretion about what is and isn't good material for children to access. What about Gone with the Wind ... and multiple other older novels that depict slavery ... where will this all go? Will we erase everything and just pretend none of that happened. It did happen ... and we need to face that awful music ... history is good to document accurately ... if I remember just one thing from my grade school history teacher ... it was him say, and I paraphrase as I cannot remember the exact words, "History, if not for anything else, is good to remind us of our mistakes, so we do not repeat them!"

Do we ban Egyptian history as well?
Oh my! How offensive of an image! Should be immediately banned and removed.

The Seuss books are NOT banned. Why do you say what is known to be false? No more are being printed, by order, of the estate of Geisel. Business decision, they still make 30 million a year off his works........ Lets leave pictures in a children's book of black people being whipped, so we can remember, not to put them in children's books. See how silly that sounds.

I never said anything about the Seuss book but cancel culture is a slippery slope to banning fee speech and thoughts. Think Facebook, Twitter, etc.
The population has reached its limit with the BS and we are now standing our ground.
"Copies of the beloved children’s author’s most popular books were virtually flying out of Amazon and Barnes and Noble’s warehouses, with his works making up nine out of the top 10 bestsellers on both companies' lists as of Thursday evening."
"Online marketplace eBay Inc. said it is working to prevent the resale of the six out-of-print books, although hundreds of listings were still on the website as of Thursday. Many of the listings referenced the books being "banned."

Well you had better find a better controversy to hoist your petard on. You won't get much support, for having obviously raciest pictures in a children's book.

Sorry you are so easily offended. Traumatised in your childhood perhaps?
The books are flying off the shelves. Can't be that bad to everyone. Or does it simply upset drama queens?
