Sighting a Rifle at 25m for a 100m zero

Winchester 130/150 gr Super X Power Point. I bought both, but I'm thinking I will stick with 130 gr.
Based on Winchester's ballistics calculator if I sight it at roughly 35-40 yards, the trajectory will zero in at 200 yards.

You still need to shoot it at the ranges you plan on hunting to be ethical about taking a shot.

At 35 yards if you are "good" you may be well off at 200 yards.

which range? they're all closed to public access. Even recently "Oshawa Clay and Target Club" closed the public access to shotgun trap shooting which I had been using in the past 3 years. I have no-where to sight or shoot trap. I can't afford right now to get 'membership' budget is tighter now than it was.

I can help You to take You to a shooting range. I will need to confirm if i am Ok to take in guests ,just because of Covid -at one time we were not-then Yes-so do not know what it is now.If interested,i can ask.Then we do one afternoon ,from 5 pm.

In a month should be fine for daylight.

You would need to drive to Cambridge though.

Wow.... Thank you very much for the offer, but its way to far (Oshawa), what makes it worse I have to drive through GTA.
Since I work for Bell, my schedule is not stable at all, due to high turnout during COVID we get sporadic off-days or overtime, unpredictable right now.

as for gun sighting, anyone seen between below 130 gr in 270 Winchester factory loads on the shelves?

From the experience shared with me by customers over the years, a lot of .270 Win. rifles are difficult to get an accurate load worked up for some of the lighter bullets available. Not saying you will encounter the same problem. Maybe some others here can share their experiences. It seems that the 90 grain and 100 grain bullets { for reloading} are quite short so there is quite a jump from the bullet to the rifling. I just don't know if what you might gain in less recoil or whatever you hope the lighter bullet will do for you will be accurate enough for the trade off.

It is not my issue, what I am saying is that sighting in at 35 yards and then shooting at deer at 200 yards assuming you are on target is a very bad idea and very unethical.

If you do not have a range then shoot it at 35 to get it close then the day before your hunt shoot it at 100 yards and 200 yards to know that it is on.

my 0.27 win tikka likes 130gr at the range I found out, but I havent tried enough to know this for sure. my shooting range also 35 yrd. or maybe 25 even ! target shooting... and other places do not allow guest and not taking new members. [if anyone can direct me to one that does, pls send me PM]

you can find crownland north of you but would be an hour or two drive, but most allow gun fire for hunting only ... how strict are they on 3 longer range shots there to get the 100-200 mark dialled in ? no idea, maybe the more experienced hunters can advice on this ?

If you can find 100yd sight n spot at 1” high your good for 200
With my 22-250 I find Remington ammo better than Winchester’s.
