Sad, might have had a different outcome if someone else was carrying. I wonder if it had anything to do with mask policies at the store?

i heard the cop who died was the first on the scene i believe,

idk if he went in alone or what firearm he had with him

in those situations is it shoot to kill or? hes already killed a bunch of people, i would think it would be shoot to kill but i would also assume they would want information from the guy and his reasons i guess?

Police are trained to shoot to stop the threat....

Yes I do agree they are trained to neutralize the threat but a few that I have shot with over the years could benefit from some extra range time as a few struggled to hit the broad side of a barn.

Yet so many pro-carry people think that anyone with a gun and 10min on the range would be able to take out an attacker with no problems.

Bingo! Unless the carrier has been trained in combat, concealed carry can cause more trouble than it solves. How are first responding Police personnel supposed to tell who the bad guy(s) are? Unless the bad guy is killed outright, yelling "It's him over there" ain't gonna cut it. Anyone with a firearm will be ordered to the ground and non-compliance instantly gets dumped.
If a tree falls on your ex in the woods and nobody hears it,you should probably still get rid of your chainsaw. Just sayin'....

Yes fox you are correct with that statement but when it is someone's job to protect the public with the use of deadly force one should be proficient with the tools they are given to do that job.
