Default Just who exactly is in charge of Ontario

"The Doug Ford government insisted schools were safe but Toronto Public Health shut them down anyway"

"Medical Officer of Health Dr. Eileen de Villa used her powers under Section 22 of the Health Protection and Promotion Act to order all elementary and secondary schools in the country’s biggest city closed as of Wednesday."

"The decision isn’t likely to sit well with Ontario Premier Doug Ford, who was still assuring parents schoolrooms were safe."
Across the province,” he said, “99.88 per cent of students do not have active cases, 99.32 per cent of students have never reported a case of COVID, 99.83 per cent of staff do not have an active case,” Ford said.

"Before the order was issued, a spokesperson for Education Minister Stephen Lecce insisted “Schools remain safe with strong public health measures in place.” Dr. David Williams, the province’s chief medical officer of health — to whom Ford defers at every opportune — appeared to agree, arguing that previously announced school closures were “temporary,” and that classrooms generally remain safe."

At least the masses are finally starting to wake up. It will definitely take more time, but our governments are doing a great job at destroying confidence and trust with voters.
The fear mongering and rhetoric has taken over msm, its all thats news worthy anymore.

I doubt this move from Grey zone to lockdown to a stay at home order will change peoples behavior - I just think people have had enough. Be smart about it but enough of the doom and gloom. I am still going to hunt and fish as normal.......plus I have a pile of electrical work back-log to get to (including my own)

I can't help but to be extremely frustrated watching the Jay's game the other day. 42k people in the stadium and cases declining in Texas while we're about to go under another bullshyte lockdown. As I've done for the last year, fishing, hunting, going to the cottage, hiking , camping and carrying on as usual will be exactly how I go about it again this year. I have a weird feeling that the people who have been toeing the line with mental stability for the last year....may be on the verge of not being able to handle anymore of this mis- handled pandemmy. You can only handle so much shyite before it starts to overflow.
    This isn't a test run................Enjoy er'.......

People aren't complying to what our government wants us to. About 50% of people are not interested in being vaccinated by experimental drugs that our governments expected us to line up for.

People for sure have had enough of politicians playing with the livelihoods of to many and destroying small business. Pretty hard to sit home with your business closed while NHL, NBA continue to spread covid like fire, but play on.

The behavior of people is changing, they are not complying with government restrictions because the level of trust in government continues to deteriorate.

Any government that pushes its people to take experimental drugs and still lockdowns those that do comply and are fully vaccinated proves why they cannot be trusted.

Health Canada has approved experimental drugs that have not been properly tested. Astrazenica is banned is 28 countries but Trudeau has made sure Heath Canada approved it.

Numbers will drop naturally with the arrival of spring and a higher relative humidity level (same way it works for all other respiratory illnesses) and government and health officials will pat themselves on the back again, hence justifying lockdowns.

Well, I know I've had enough. Folks in the northern parts of the province are getting tired of being bullied into some sort of compliance because of what is going on in the urban areas. There aren't any malls around here for people to loiter in.

As well, most people I have talked to have no intention of getting vacinated.

This pandemic has further widened the gap between rural and urban residents.
