The dumb people are the ones who are obstinately refusing to take the vaccine regardless of the increasingly evident benefits.
Again, if the "vaccine" doesn't stop you from getting and spreading the virus how is it contributing to lower case numbers.

Where is the evidence that it helps with variants? I thought the original narrative was that it didn't help with the variants which is why they started talking about constant boosters.

We need to start another thread to track all the inconsistencies and flawed logic of the COVID crowd.

Can't argue with that ... for sure what I've heard is it only reduces or eliminates the symptoms from COVID, and the big selling point is that the death rate will drop considerably. I don't know where the idea that the actual number of COVID positive cases will drop ... but for sure what I can see is that because people will get it and not show symptoms, they won't go and get tested ... so that in itself will present false data ... the numbers will drop, but isn't that only because MORE people don't even know they have the virus?

You see when we treat science as a joke, and are not strict on how we measure and analyze things ... all we end up with is a mess ... and chaotic government action that is so shoot from the hip and based on pure guesswork, it's not funny. Oh and you get a lot of inconsistent directives (hypocrisy) like you can't go fishing, but it's okay to go to a walmart and rub shoulders with 700 strangers from all over the place...

There is a difference between tolerating views and not allowing them to go unchallenged.

The FDA has approved multiple vaccines for emergency use.

It's hardly a "fake vaccine" when cases are dropping in Ontario LTC homes, the UK and some American states with higher vaccination rates than Canada.

Anyone who doesn't want the shot can stand aside. Someone else will be grateful to take it.
Maybe the dumb people are those lining up to take a experimental drug that doesn't do what they hoped it would.

Health Canada approves a experimental drug 28 countries have banned for good reason. Trudeau wants Canadians to be his guinea pigs and has Health Canada approve an unsafe experimental drug.

Now that Trudeau can't get enough doses of Phyzer, our government is telling Canadians the duration between first and second shot has be hugely extended. This is only due to his failure on vaccine roll out.

Your restrictions don't change once your vaccinated. You like to call others dumb who don't want to be part of a human experimental drug trial.

You insist to call others dumb that won't do as expected by a government that can't be trusted at this time. Maybe take a good look in the mirror, you will see looking back at you the name you like to call others...lol

Calling people who don't share your views as "Kooks" and "Dumb" is really not how civil people 'challenge' others in a discussion. It indicates you have no respect for their point of view.

We agree the interval between shots is due to an inability of the government to secure a sufficient number of doses.

However, the vaccines do appear to be doing as hoped. Ontario LTC cases and deaths down, cases and deaths dropping in the UK and some U.S. states.

Among the advantages is that if you do get the virus you will not get as sick and more likely survive.

But if you don't want to take it that is your decision to make.

This site is hardly the center of Canadian civility. LOL.

There are certain views that deserve no respect. Views espoused by anti-vaxxers, flat earthers, conspiracy theory nuts and other fringe elements often fall into that category.

Restrictions in LTC are keeping numbers down. Wife can't visit family in LTC until she does a on site quick test before visit. They are controlling covid by not allowing it to get into the facilities as easy as previous.

About not getting sick after vaccination, I m not so convinced. One of my wife's employees just flew home to be with both of his parents who are both very sick with covid. Both were vaccinated more than a month ago.

The massive delay between doses seems to vary province to province. My parents are in their late 80s but reside in Alberta. They got both of the doses at the prescribed 28 days apart.
The wilderness is not a stadium where I satisfy my ambition to achieve, it is the cathedral where I worship.
