Some of these statistics are really rather alarming...especially when he points out the Gun control measures in some the US hot spots.

The USA has, by far, the highest per capita gun ownership in the world. Progressives will tell you that this is what makes America the Murder Capitol of Planet Earth. But we're not, and in this devastatingly effective Firewall, Bill Whittle shows why the center of Gun Nut Nation is in fact one of the safest places in the world.

He has a very good point about it not being the guns . It s definitely the people behind them.

I hate how Canada works we blame the gun. Personally I don't blame the gun why would I blame a tool or the gun . It wasn't the gun that took aim at John it was Travis who took aim John.

Someone gets shot and we need to blame the gun he used . Forget about what Travis did it's the guns fault wtf no it wasn't . I blame Travis not the gun used by Travis
It was Travis's fault not the gun he used .

So many can't get past that but that is what our government does. It's a shame we have to blame something other than the person who did it for instance Travis in this case. LoL

On the same note with the tool being blamed for the deaths, could we not blame the tool that gave all the street people and drug addicts free CERB payments to make them OD statistics? Same thought process, same results.

Look at the Danforth shooting we blamed the gun he had a gun and shot up to he restaurant . We blame the gun even though it was stolen. He didn't have the rights to a gun he purchased it illegally and shot up the place why would we blame the gun used.

But the left thinks it's acceptable to blame the tool if it's a gun.

Or what about the Nova Scotia shooting?

Do we blame the guns can we blame the guns ? Nope . The fool had it all planned out didn't matter what guns he used he acted as a police officer and killed people

We can't blame the guns he used when he had a thought out plan of attack on the people he did that. That looser went on a twisted rampage we cannot take action on what he used to play it out. He was a sick twisted individual end of story we shouldn't blame the tools he used .

    It won't fix the problem

Sorry for the rants it still erks me that law abiding citizens are taking the blunt end of it for his twisted little mind.

Actually its not the gun that gets blame here in Canada. What has gotten blamed is the ease of accessibility to the gun. Here in Canada that is the focus of our gun control - preventing easy access to firearms and with them their ammunition. Legal access to a gun has been sown up so tight, if you really needed one desperately it would make more sense to find out the nearest gun trafficker and go by a gun from them. The folly of our gun control is it feeds the illegal marketing of firearms
This in turn make any level of public safety more or less impossible. Public safety of course being the justification behind having gun control. When there has been a shooting the public focus falls upon the destructiveness of the gun, my thoughts stray to how did the gun arrive on the sense. I'm always amused by the fact that's the last thing that comes under consideration.

I can't agree with you on that given our recent issues. The new ban on "assault style weapons" shows how the gun is actually blamed.

How is it one careless cigarette can cause a forest fire, but it takes a whole box of matches to light a campfire?

It is the gun or weapon of choice that always gets the blame here, you never hear them ask how or where did the gun or what ever was used come from,
