I had mine yesterday- Pfizer . No side effects yet , just a slightly sore arm. Well organized clinic; took 30 minutes. Takes about 3 weeks to be completely effective , so I'll be staying in till then, except for getting out with the dog. You still have to be very careful after the vaccine, but I shouldn't end up in the hospital or ICU. Second shot in 4 weeks. As someone who went through the polio era, I'm very thankful for a vaccine.

Government: don’t worry it’s your choice to get the vaccine!
Also government: we will limit your rights and restrict your freedoms because you didn’t get the vaccine your now second-class citizens.

    No I haven't.
Considering you can still get COVID19, transmit COVID19 and die of COVID19 AFTER being vaccinated*, not to mention that there are no long term studies on this new type of procedure, I think I will pass.
The risks do not outweigh the benefits.
People should review the Pfizer.com website on the vax* and see the list of conditions that they say exempt people from getting it.
It's a pretty long list including those who have had Covid19 and recovered from it. The vax* could mess up your natural immune system in this case.

For those who have got the shot it would be great to post when you are contacted for your second shot.

It would also be great for people that are fully vaccinated to let others know when their restrictions are lifted and they can take off their masks and return to normal like our government has told us would happen.

(PS Just answering your question; not looking for verbal abuse from non vaccinators.)

Big paper you get . Some of it is:

"Fully vaccinated people can can visit other vaccinated people indoors /outdoors without mask or physical distancing.
You can skip quarantining and testing if exposed to someone who has/gets Covid 19 but are asymptomatic , but should quarantine if you hear you visited someone who got sick with the Covid.
This means that vaccinated grandparents may feel comfortable visiting their unvaccinated grandchildren.
    Avoid travel." quote

    etc.. etc

I read the same article and found it very encouraging. The full answer on restrictions will come when everyone who wants to be vaccinated is fully vaccinated.

We can however look to nations that are further ahead of Canada for the answer.

Non-essential shops and beauty salons have opened in England and Wales for the first time in months, as Covid rules are eased across the UK

Many shops are staying open late to try to avoid crowded peak times - but long queues still formed outside some outlets during the day

England's gyms, zoos and hairdressers have also reopened, with restaurants and pubs now serving customers outside

Pupils returned to school full time in Scotland and Wales, while Northern Ireland's "stay-at-home" order is ending
How good is it there? Yesterday the UK, a country of 66 million people, had 2,505 new cases. Today, Ontario, a province with 14.5 million had 4,156.

Vaccination is everybody's own choice. If being vaccinated makes you feel safe and happy, that's great, that's all that matters.

Down here restrictions remain for fully vaccinated individuals living under care. Isolated to their rooms if even one case is linked to the residence. Not even able to interact with other fully vaccinated residents. Vaccinated or not you still have to wear your mask in all public spaces like grocery, shopping stores.

Personally I don't feel theses vaccines are any more than a yearly flu shot, shots. I really have to wonder why these vaccines only last possibly a year. I'm not really that fond of taking a couple annual shots for a single flu virus. What's even more alarming is how this single flu virus has made experimental drugs being approved by our government, while 28 other countries have banned it. Mean while our government is buying up approving and giving it to Canadians.

I have other therapeutics and life choice that make me feel safe and healthy. For now I will pass on the yearly vaccine for Covid
