Frenchie, we also hunt deer west of Huntsville and it's just incredible the amount of deer we see lying on the side of the road bedded along the fence lines.
More and more every year especially close to homes where they are safe.

Blaster Sabre.... I love the cold up here but was getting a little tired of what I felt was a lot of snow....far more than we got in Burlington. My neighbours up here say we got off easy, that this was a light winter with not as much snow as usual..... I hate to see what a lot of snow is going to look like. But we are loving it up here and love being closer to where we love to camp and fish.

Articcat.....there are wild turkey everywhere up here as well.

For some perspective, this past winter was probably the "lightest" I've experienced in my 35 years.

No nights of -30, only a handful of-20, well into December before permanent snow, and gone by April 1st. Thats at least 40 days shorter then usual, much warmer, and without much accumulation
