Reminded me of the song "drove my chevy to the levy", well Erin decided to drive his chevy to a levy.

So what exactly is a levy "The noun levy refers to a charge, such as a tax, fine, or other fee, that is imposed on something. The verb levy is used to describe the act of imposing or collecting the charge"

Ok,ok its not a carbon tax its a levy LOL

So on the telly tonight CBC of course the pundits stated that Erin has taken a calculated gamble with "his base" he might loose a few votes in Alberta and Saskatchewan but feel's he will gain votes in Ontario and Quebec.

Do you think that the liberal tactics might up his odds? Lie about everything and refuse to answer even the most basic questions?

I just don’t see it being attractive for anyone.

Get $500 to put in your carbon account....ok...what do you do with $500 ? It’s a drop in the bucket in the purchase of an electric vehicle, and $500 will maybe get you one new window in your house- installed by a few government-approved contractors ....the conservative base is not going to like the govt collecting money, giving it back as a rebate and telling people what they can spend it on. This is a Liberal-lite policy.

From the way I can see it he's trying to meet in the middle and steal a few greenie votes from the libs.

The NDP promises were insane to the point I thought it was a joke, they are running with the "defund the police" thing.

How is it one careless cigarette can cause a forest fire, but it takes a whole box of matches to light a campfire?

Might be worse. A private contractor to collect your data to administer your account (how else would they know how much you are spending on carbon), Account fees, Possibility of negative interest rates to tame the debt and avoid mortgage defaults. What if you rent an apartment downtown, ride a bike to work, that money is pretty much useless. The only thing I like is the tariffs on the made in China crap. I thought Conservatives were about less government. Didn't he say he was going to scrap the Carbon Tax? He can't be trusted.
