Where hunters should aim in discussing Bill C-21 on gun control

I've been hearing this type of bushwah for decades. Still have a safe full of guns. Nice ones too. The time won't come that I will have to turn mine in unless I specifically do something that causes them to be seized.

What I've been hearing for 40 years is that "ALL GUNS WILL BE BANNED!!!" along with similar nonsense.

It hasn't happened and won't. Some guns certainly have been banned but nowhere near all of them. Many guns remain and will continue to remain for hunting and target shooting.

Yeh I had a shotgun at aged 16 in Scotland, two references and no trouble, been in Australia, shops full of guns.

Well a few semi auto rim fires etc. are allowed.... as restricted firearms, even the URL says that "restricted-shotgun" etc.

Let's take a look at what the police actually say are Prohibited... crossbows, slingshots.... lots there but

Seems those are Category C firearms, even if they are .22 rifles so yep there are some... like there are a few that can get Restricted firearms here too, their actually require a police approval too.

Category C rimfires... C1 a self loading rim fire rifle with a magazine capacity no more than 10 rounds
So the Ruger 10/22 is OK but the Remington Speedmaster would be a C1 and equivalent of a Restricted here.


So essentially Badenoch is correct if you ignore the legalities and GreatWhite has overstated it, but if you include the legalities and Categories and the details about the firearms and licensing.... if you include it for the majority of the population and shooters for the most part GreatWhite is correct.

And we require police approval in Canada to acquire a restricted firearm. Perhaps you don't own one and didn't know.

Well if c-21 does manage to come to be it will only be the start. The liberals will not stop there and if you think they will all I will say is don't be so daft. If your not will to help support fellow legal firearms owners don't look for help when Billy liar comes looking for your model 70 winchester or your Remington 7400 or 870. I imagine from your past posts on attacks on legal firearms owners when the time comes and they want your legally own guns you'll go running to turn them in.

He will if the government tells him to. But the government hasn't banned his kind, thats why he's doesn't care about the ban. He likes heavy hitters, check it out
