    Default Wild Garlic is Up

My hunting buddy stopped by today with some wild garlic. Seems to be up about 3 weeks early this year, so if your further South you might want to go check. They were a slight bit small thinking they will be bigger next week. I'm going to go check a patch behind the house tomorrow.

It's been up for around a week at our place and getting close to being ready.

I can see it looking out the window from home. When I tried to pick a few earlier in the week they were still real thin, not starting to swell at all yet. Real hard to pick and leave the root section in the ground. When they reach full size it's much easier to bend them sideways and snap the bulb off the woody root. This is what mine look like as picked. Notice there are no roots attached as I left the woody section with all the fine roots attached in the ground still attacked to the clump.
