Oh I believe that is quite possible, my buddy down the road from me (first person I met when I moved to where I live now) when he came home from Spain Dec 2019 he was as sick as a dog for about 2 weeks, he said it was nothing like the regular flu, 3 months later we shut down the country.

The timeline may be found by looking at longterm care and seeing an increase in illness. But the timeline might not be too important.
