Are you charging him rent? Are you claiming expenses to use as a write off for your income tax? Heat, lights, water, office space to do the books? etc. ??? If not, why not? It would be legit even though it would be a sham, since it's your own kin.

No Bush my son does not live in my basement he has a very nice upstairs room and no he pay's no rent. I do not declare anything against my taxes as that would be illegal. The "man" declared in his post and past posts he does work under the table so by default he is a tax cheat, there are plenty out there.
As you seem very fixated on my son and family have you managed to raise any children yourself or do you simply like to complain about other folk's kin.
If everybody decided to work under the table we would have no social security net. Maybe you would like to pay American medical insurance bills or out right pay for your treatment.

Is this your mandated age for a son to move out?

Pretty simple, do you use our medical system, will you be wanting a CPP pension and OAS eventually.
Terry,
I have paid way, way more than you have into our tax system that supports CPP, OAS, and Medical. Does that mean I should get better treatment or preferential treatment than you do? No it does not, so I suggest you once again stop trying to dig your way out of a hole - as entertaining as that is.
So are you suggesting that there is a certain level or cap that someone needs to pay in order to obtain these benefits? Since I am subsidizing all these useless boobs that would rather collect SERB than work because SERB pays them more, and those still living in their parents basements while trying to figure out life - I think that is a very valid question. I guess you also support the Liberal's basic income plight which will do nothing more than just raise the low water mark of society - as everything else goes up to support this. Again this will only feed the underground economy.
Oh.....just so you know the last two side jobs I did (a Kitchen and a basement) were for card carrying Liberal, Ford hating teachers! They were the ones that suggested I get paid in cash. So how do you round those corners? Maybe it is Canadians in general - not just Conservatives but Liberals, & NDP are tired to being taxed. I have also done a lot of work for Coppers and they are so cheap they make teachers look good - LOL. They will do anything to save a nickel.

Depending on the state you live in a cheaper cost of living and the fact that you pay a health tax levy on your income tax would negate any medical insurance bills down south. There is an advantage of less wait time and advanced procedures that aren't available in Canada. I'm pretty sure that you don't need to claim immediate family paying rent in Canada as long as they are under the same roof.

I am not sure what social security you are referring to but I have not qualified for anything the government has been handing out in decades. I have been very fortunate enough not to be on UI since it was offered to electricians going to trade school back in the late 90's.
Now what I do on my time is mine and I am not about to share it with Justin and his gang of fiscal misfits. Call it anything you want but I call it civil disobedience - it is my way to stick it to the man or in this case the man boy. You see I am not a Liberal taker I am a Conservative giver. I worked my whole career and am driven to do better and perform better and to be compensated accordingly. You see I am not a silly servant that whines and moans that he deserves a raise just because he has been doing the task at hand for 'X' number of years. These are the people that are collapsing cities and states in the US.
I think what you mean to say is Conservatives are tired of being over taxed so that the Liberals can give (aka- buy votes) from people that either cannot or will not work.

The only person digging a hole is yourself openly declaring you cut corners and work under the table, pretty stupid to declare on a open public forum.
If your not issuing a receipt for the "electrical work done" and lets say there is a fire at a place you worked, would you stand by the home owners and declare you did the work to an insurance company, or would your client's get pushed under the bus.
In relation to you paying more than me, I very much doubt it. I pay taxes on both a rural and city property, I even pay taxes into another country. So that would be triple taxation.

I had a female friend who had a little trailer in Arizona, she went every year even had travel insurance. She suffered a mild heart attack, $30,000.00 for a weekend stay, they did every test under the sun. She was denied coverage as they said she had a pre existing condition, got hounded by collection agencies. Had to sell up at a loss and no longer goes down there.
