I bought my first gopro brand new but will never do that again. I own 4 in total, 3 were purchased used. I buy up the hero 3’s and 3+’s off kijiji when they are a good price. People buy gopros thinking they’re going to be like the adventurous ones in the commercials mountain climbing, surfing, skydiving... then they sit around for years unused and get sold on kijiji for a fraction of the price. They can be found for $80-100 in mint condition, then you can sell off some of the accessories that come with it (remote, battery packs, lcd’s..) and end up paying less in the end. Cheapest one I bought ended up being $50 after selling off accessories. Some people try to sell these used ones for much more but they are about 7-8 years old.. you can talk them down. They dont use them anyway.

You dont need the top of the line model for recording these videos. They are stationary and dont need all the features the new ones come with. Plus for this price if they accidentally get stomped by a bird or shot by a hunting buddy with a poor shot.. its not the end of the world hah.

Great video and nice tom. Cant believe you were hoping for a bigger bird to come in lol. Sounds like there are a lot of birds where you hunt.

I hunt a very productive area in wmu 92 and there were plenty of gobbles behind me in the valley. If anything a second bird coming in would have made for neater footage!

Yes I have a few videos on the YouTube channel. I love filming my turkey hunts because it lets me relive the action again and again. I’ve also used the footage to see things I didn’t see when hunting like one time I shot a tom but after reviewing the footage noticed 3 jakes standing in the treeline. Last week I took a buddy out and he missed a bird. We reviewed the footage and saw his shot placement. The shot just skimmed the tom’s back just behind the neck. Having the footage added a little closure and explanation to the “I had the bead right on his head!!” argument.
