Moose hunters

Our group hunts in 12b. Three members had 7 points each. We did not get a tag. We will try again in June for the second round. If it works out fine , if not maybe a bear/grouse hunt. Failing that I will stay home and take a crack at fall turkeys. There's always next year. Cheers B525

Sorry, don't hunt that area either but in our area the hunter with the most points received the tag.

18 is pretty up there. I dont think I've seen to many people on here who hunt up there. I may be wrong tho. I dont hunt for moose (yet) so I wouldn't be able to help.

Lazyman, did it occur to you that maybe no one knew the answer to your question? I saw your post, read it and did not know, so I moved on. I don't think this is a huge forum, so its entirely possible that no one had the answer you are looking for.

There is a glitch in the system, I applied for a cow tag in 15b and got none with 5 points.<br>
Someone posted they got a cow tag in 15b with 2 points.<br>
If this is true there is a problem.

I would be very suspect of the information about the two point success....assuming it was a cow gun tag..

Thanks for that tidbit of wisdom ! After 40 plus years of hunting moose, I did not know that !!
My reference was between cow gun tag and cow archery tag......(archery is when you use a bow or xbow)!!!! ; )
