    Default Trespassers??

Well, I am really surprised in a happy way that we have had no threads that I have seen anyway about trespassers hunting this turkey season. I for one thought that if anything we would see more of this with covid and more people wanting to get out and about. I got out more this year then the last few even while working, but was unsuccessful in seeing a male bird while I had a gun in hand. Lots of pics of toms an hour before or after, just not when I was on stand lol. I found them to be real quiet as the season progressed, if it wasn't for pics and tracks I wouldn't be sure they were even in the area still. Good luck to all who are still out there, the bugs are gonna get bad real soon .

I thought I caught a trespasser on my trail cam. At first glance my reaction was “Who’s that old guy??!!”

    It was me

Same here, not seeing any birds or trespassers. Have not heard one gobble all season which is odd ? Maybe the gobbling is muted by them wearing masks and they are taking this Social Distancing rule to a higher level ? As for bugs ? Ticks are plentiful and Black flies have left the odd welt as well. The land owner has finished his road repair work and the farmer that leases the field has planted his Soy beans so maybe now that it's quieter out there ? Still time left to go !
Good Luck & Good Hunting !

It's a lot less pleasant now that the bugs are out in full force. Not been a great year for me. Before the season heard lots of gobbling. Not much since the opening. Not a beard in sight on our property but two hens have walked through our backyard!

The two nicest toms I've seen in a while were on the side of our concession road about a kilometer from my property. The landowner there doesn't permit hunting. Maybe those birds are smarter than we think?

So far no trespassers but I will say the birds are very, very scarce this year, at least in my area. I too saw many birds in January but come April, "dare day were, gone!"
