Anyone check the DU spots
Hey group. Just wondering if anyone has gone out to any of the DU waterfowl sites in the east..is a boat generally needed? Is there action or few and far between?

I've hunted one of the DU sites in the Ottawa Valley. Cover was thick, water was mucky, and we couldn't have gotten around without a canoe. Even with the boat we struggled in places. Birds were there though!

naaa they are no good ... lol I kid, I think we are lucky to have them, Love hunting Waterfowl on all their sites. good action.
Waders are needed, boat makes life and reaching good cover/spots much easier, and to retrieve birds, but doable without.
I use a float boat ... to carry my gear in usually, and walk beside it with waders on. I find the transportation easier than taking the canoe.
