Antlerless Quotas 2021
Hey, Gang. I haven't been on for quite awhile, so please forgive me if this subject has been addressed.
As a group captain I try to keep up with big game quotas. For 2020 I never did see the antlerless deer quotas for last fall. They always came out in late May or early June, in time for application deadline.
I emailed the MNRF recently to ask "when they would be coming out or even if" & the answer said "to just keep checking". I've emailed the MNRF in the past & received much better answers. In researching past years prior to 2020, they were always out well before today, June 24. Is there anyone out there with reliable info. re. the quotas?

I personally have only seen the list that MNR puts out as seen on page 51 with the quotas and % successful in each WMU that is not posted until the next year after the deer season is over. LMK if you do find something before the season starts as I have not to my recollection seen that stat.

To the folks that have only seen the past years quotas in the regs., the Mnr up until last year put the upcoming season's quotas online via Hunting Notices & Updates. I assumed that they didn't come out last June due to covid. I don't expect any dramatic increases in doe tags this year. As my group live & hunt together in 6 different wmu's, we apply according to the quotas of the upcoming year.. A couple of forum members used to add a thread notifying that "Antlerless quotas are out". When I asked the MNRF via email if they were coming out for this fall at all & if so then on what date. The answer I got simply said "to keep checking for them regularly." I couldn't help but think whoever read that email didn't research their answer. The opposite of that was an MNRF lady who went the extra mile to answer a fish stocking question I emailed. I always put my phone # in case they just want to call. She had the same difficulty trying to figure out my question via the internet, so she phoned me & gave me the contact of the proper person to ask. She was great!!!!
I don't have much hope that they are going to be published prior to the deadline now. But, I'm going to hang in until June 30 just in case. If they do come out I'll post it on here.

Seems that sevennine posted the link.
Thanks for the reminder though! I lost track of time and didn't realize that applications were due already. I usually do the same as you and wait until the quotas are published, since I have a few options of different WMUs to apply to. Last year I think they published the quotas right after I applied, and I had waited until the last day hoping the quotas would come out.

Cool, I had never seen that quota list come out this early before. Doesn't really affect me as I only play in 1 WMU so just apply early in that one.

I just got off the phone with a very nice lady from the MNRF, who assured me they came out on June 11. Although I'm not computer savvy, I never had trouble finding them before. Hate to admit this on here, but even with the ladies instructions I couldn't find them. I had to get "my wife" to do it. Unfortunately, now she can't remember how she did it, but she's printing them off right now. Apparantly the link was already on the forum awhile back. Cheers!!!

Wow, tags in WMU 10 have been cut in half this year… down to 800. I’m not upset by this as the deer population has been depressed for the past 6-7 years.
