Default Picked up a new crossbow

So I bought a new Crossbow for my son, well I paid half for him. Were going to hunt deer during the crossbow season as well.

Probably not the best bow but should suit our needs it has a decent rating 4 out of 5 stars.

We bought it on sale at Cabelas but I was disappointed that the guy working for the bow area did not know anything about bow.

Hopefully will have time in the next few days to put it together.

Do Cabelas provide assistance/customer service regarding set up, tuning, warranty, etc, or refer you to the manufacturer ?

I asked the guy didn't know. But if I have an issue I know many people smarter then me to help.

If there is an issue I can take it back he said.

Not a bad looking xbow GW...should kill deer just as easy as an Excalibur

Your lad (name withheld) is looking good (great summer haircut) haven't seen him since our last breakfast back in 2019, let him know I said "Hi" and congrats on the new bow.

I am also wondering about Bolts for the Xbow.

Should we stick with the main stream stuff like .. or has anyone tried the ones off of Amazon?

I'd stick with the OEM bolts for now, at least you know they meet the minimum weight requirements of your equipment, and have the correct nocks. You can always try something else if want to tinker after you get the bow shooting consistently.
