was out in Alberta recently and we took a day to go fishing. A farm pond, but still a blast on a 6wt.

What a football!!! I use to like taking the kids to the stocked ponds.......but could never overcome the taste......would've been a blast in the fly......
This isn't a test run................Enjoy er'.......

Mostly streamers. Had one on the dry. They didn’t really care what fly. Did some with indicators and chironomids, some balanced leeches and damsel flies on top. The owner said they will also go after poppers too.
As for taste we let them all go. He keeps the food ones penned at the spring head waters. Said they tasted better.

I hope it works out. This guys been at it for 10 years. Largest rainbow was 26 lbs, he also had browns and brookies. Only one brown caught though.

Yeah as we were leaving the own was feeding them. Like piranhas on side of beef. Not something I’d do very often, but still kind of fun.
