Who has only had 1 shot?
I got 1 covid shot back in May, mainly due to harping by some family members but will be waiting a while before thinking about whether to get another.
I am not an anti vaxxer, as I do take the shots I believe in that are somewhat mainstream and try to research my own info as I believe in medical breakthroughs being overall positive for mankind.
I have never received an annual flu shot either, but my partner does every year and she gets sick every winter while I might get a bit of a cold once every few years.
I read a line yesterday which does sum up this whole cluster####, the only science being projected and followed in this "pandemic" is political science.
To each their own, I find it quite entertaining when faceless people try to jam their personal beliefs down a complete strangers throat with no fear of consequences.

A little surprised no one else seems to be in this situation, on a side note just received a phone call from the local health unit telling me to book for a second shot. The one I was booked for in late September was cancelled and they also sent an email 2 weeks ago telling everyone that future appointments were all cancelled if booked for after August 2nd. Gonna wait and see for now.

They cancelled all the appointments around that date here too. I wonder why.

Not enough people to book...some centres are only seeing a dozen a day. They closed a lot of them and went back to just a few in each area.
Now the vaccines are going bad... once thawed for use in the clinics, they have to use them up quickly.
Canada had over 8 million doses delivered in the past two weeks and the vaccination rate had dropped to less than 50% from a few weeks go. Canada had less than 300,000 a day (2 million a week) and that is dropping quickly.
Ontario is only vaccinating 30K a week now...largely because the students had to get the 2 shots regime done before school starts.

Probably a good idea.

Has too much time on their hands
I thought there would be a few more in this boat too OP. I know a few people who have had their first shot and aren't in any hurry to get their second, if they get it at all.

Not sure what your source is for that. Numbers have dropped significantly but this site is indicating 60k per day or 400k+ per week.

Essentially second shots only on a slow crawl to vaccinate the remaining people like the OP.
