I saw two hens today with 14 poulets between them. They were a good size so I guess they survived that late snow in May. In another field there were 2 hens with only 3 very small poults. It's nice to see some of them made it though. Half my garden didn't make it.

Man I went up to the farm on Monday to put a few rounds through my shotgun. Went to the back to put a couple cameras up, turn the corner of the bush line and I'm like 10 feet away from a flock of 7 or 8 big fellas. They all darted away in diff directions. At least I know they'll still prob be around come October lol

I've been seeing more poults this year where I hunt and trap. It was an odd season this year with only 2-3 toms compared to the past where there was always 5 toms or more per flock. Nevertheless, the numbers seem to be there and I hope that the winter isn't too harsh on them.
