I don't have faith that any .30-30 bullet is better in the brush than any other. I load my .30-30 with 150 Speer flatpoints because they are accurate with max loads of Leverevolution powder. If I were going hunting somewhere brushy, I'd still use that load, but if all I had was FTX bullets I'd use them without a second thought.

2017 Manitoulin 200 lb 10 point buck, 25 yards. I picked an open spot in the trees...just saying. The buck never took a step. I pulled the trigger and the buck dropped. Double lung shot. Winchester 94, 32 special using leverevolution. When I dressed the deer, the chest cavity was just a blood filled void. The lungs were just gone. I will continue to use this ammo.

P.S.: The accuracy is great in my gun.

I learned a long time ago that nothing really pushes bush in any respectable, repeatable, and dependable way.

A twig along the way will knock a big bullet off course.

Bullet construction determines fragmentation. I try to stick with all copper bullets for hunting for that reason and I don’t like lead migration in the deer I shoot.
