Default Recommendations on Moose hunting scents

Hey guys I’m hopefully headed to Quebec this year for Bull moose hunting, I’ve seen many different urine scent options. Most of these are from Quebec retailers so I can’t always read the directions/usage on the sites. Has anyone had experience using any of the Pheromone vials or creams, mare urines , Ext?

    Thanks !

Waste of money IMO, just know your wind.

If Quebec allows animal product to be used in hunts-try natural stuff.
    Artificial stuff is too gimmicky.

I’ve had good success with deer urine, Tinks 69, before the ban. The synthetic stuff has not worked at all. As far as moose goes, we’ve never used scents, because we rifle hunt. If I was archery hunting, and natural scents were legal, I’d try some Cow urine. You still have to play the wind, no matter what scent you try.

^^^^^ What he said. ^^^^^ I always go 100% scent free from keeping my hunting clothes with spruce bows stuffed inside sleeves and pant legs hung outside to scent free soap and deodorant.

Don't get caught up with all the gimmicks. If a moose smells the scent, it will be yours they smell.
Study their travel habits and their habitat. Play the wind. Have an enormous amount of patience and as I will repeat, don't get caught up with all the gimmicks! Retailers make their money on all the folks who fall for B.S.

Yes maybe the synthetic junk is no good but Quebec produces the best "Urine de Jument" on the market.
This stuff is potent, I tried to google the one I used to buy that came from Quebec but couldn't find it, probably bought out?
We had lots of success with that stuff, bulls would go nuts.
Of course, you need to be were there's Moose, and if the bulls are in rut they will come.

And of course play the wind!

Just to add: you need to buy the fresh stuff, check the dates.
We use to make a scrape and dump all the older stuff on it.

I found that the artificial lure made by Buck Expert had a smelly/soapy smell to it. I have also tried Smoke Sticks, and mares urine. I can’t say that they helped me in any way. The moose that I’ve shot came to the call. Good luck hunting this fall,
