Can anyone advice me good books, videos or anything else about training a puppy to grow up into a hunting dog ?

We recently got a beagle puppy, and need to prep for training him and ...

the parents both love the water, so Im hoping he will eventually join me in waterfowl hunting besides small game as well.

I bred and trained beagles with my Dad for 15 years. A beagle is a hound - not meant for retrieving , pointing birds etc. It is a tracker. It is used for scaring up rabbits and tracking them. Occasionally it will accidently set a bird to flight. Important to know what it is bred to do so you don't waste time and frustration on other training.
