Has anyone made their own sling for a crossbow? I can't find one for mine. Could a gun sling be modified?

I use a Limbsaver Kodiak lite sling for my Excalibur. It’s great.

You can use any rifle/shotgun sling on your crossbow - not the easiest to carry but it will work.

I use a soft cloth case. Folds nice and fits in backpack. It has 2 sewn slings but just use one over the shoulder.
The crossbow has to be encased after dark anyway.
