Default Questions for someone considering moose-hunting

Living in the far south WMUs my whole life and never being interested in joining hunt-camps, moose-hunting has never caught my attention or been worth my time. Especially before the point system it seemed impossible to get a tag in the first place.
But now after exploring some areas for bear where moose seems like a viable option on top of all the other game I can get in that area, I'm considering it. But I have a question that the regulations don't outline too well for me.

Lets say I have an archery moose tag and a crossbow. The person accompanying me has a bear tag and a firearm. Is this a legal setup? Are you allowed to carry any firearms with you considering you also have a bear tag? I'm just not too thrilled about not having a firearm with me for protection in an area I usually hunt bears.

You and your friend must keep your hunting activities separate i.e you cannot possess a high powered rifle while hunting moose during the archery season. Some time ago, this was covered in the “Ask a CO” column. Here is a link - https://oodmag.com/ask-a-co-carrying-multiple-firearms/

That's my understanding - you cannot hunt together. Sharing the same camp is probably okay but walking together in the bush, one with a bow one with a rifle would seem to cross the line.
