Hunting priviledges are handed down to each generation as someone mentioned. I've lived in 82a for 7 years and I've yet to get permission for deer on private land. It's crown land hunting for me and all the other newcomers to the area. I don't expect it's going to improve in the future. Fortunately there's a good number of crown properties as Species mentioned. You'll be shocked opening day though!

I’ve always hunted 82a around Durham and Allen Park. The 4 farms we hunt have always had good deer numbers. We have gotten permission on a 5th place this year that looks good as well

oh nononono. no deer near durham or mount forest. nope, they all gone. :P
