Barrie Rifle Sighting
Good Day.
Now that we’re done with the turkey, it’s time for the deer!
I just picked up a new to me rifle and was wondering my best options for sighting it. It’s apparently “ready to go” but I’d love to put a couple rounds through it myself.
Other than our gun club which has a waiting list for years, what does everyone else do?
Located in the Barrie area.
Thanks in advance!

Drive north 1.5-2 hours, and find crown.
it can be ifffy now though. deer season for bow is open, so I think you have to make it super obvious that u are target shooting / Zeroing in the rifle, if a CO sees you with a rifle. maybe get a bear tag to make it more legit !

Has too much time on their hands
As mentioned above find a piece of crown land where you can shoot or see if you can score an invitation to a club to sight it in.
Congrats on the new to you rifle, make sure you verify that it's actually "ready to go" before you hunt with it. If you already have a place to deer hunt with a rifle, it's likely you can use that place to sight in your rifle as well.

Going north to crown land is likely your best bet as already mentioned. It's important to remember that your chances of being alone at this time of the year is very low. Target shooting is really dicey. A solid backstop is vital. See if you can find a sand pit. Good luck.
If a tree falls on your ex in the woods and nobody hears it,you should probably still get rid of your chainsaw. Just sayin'....
